Alia and Jess are littermates, both white, both blue-eyed,
and both deaf (shhhh don't tell them that!).
Alia stayed in our breeding program for a single litter
(see Joker's page to read all about it),
and was spayed.
Jess was never bred, as her eyes are slightly crossed.
These two girls inherited their mother's size and lush coat,
and are truly picturesque around the house.
Born in 2001, for several years Alia & Jess roamed the house as
bookends.
Recently, Jess suffered a hematoma (burst blood vessel) in one ear.
The resulting surgical treatment left her with one slightly folded ear,
so one of our bookends looks like it fell off the shelf . . .
