The Burglar Who Painted Like Mondrian cover art
cover art by Doug Henry 		Bernie is named for the lead character in Lawrence Block's "Burglar" series. Bernard Grimes Rhodenbarr (aka Mrs. Rhodenbarr's little boy Bernie) is a burglar with a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. While he is willing to take items that belong to other people, he does not hurt (or kill) other people. So, he often ends up blamed for a murder he didn't really commit, and the only way to clear his name is to solve the mystery. These books are very entertaining, and I recommend them to anyone who likes a good whodunit.
